A year ago I was hurt in an accident, but I now need surgery and the insurance company has closed their file. Can I sue?

You can still pursue a claim for injuries and even file a lawsuit if necessary for your injuries, even if you didn’t discover your injuries right at the time of the accident, or even some time after. Even if it’s been a year, or two years, or three years after the accident and you discover you need to have surgery, you are still entitled to compensation for that injury if it was due to the accident. Under foreign law, you have up to four years to file a lawsuit to preserve your claim and pursue reimbursement for your injuries and compensation.
